[2021-02-07 130 PM] NWS Boston EM Briefing UPDATE: Ongoing Significant Winter Storm Today
Good afternoon, Following is a short update to our briefing materials based on the latest information and forecast trends. Bands of moderate to heavy snow have now overspread most of CT, RI and MA as of early this afternoon. Thus far, anywhere from one-half inch to as much as 3.5 inches of snow have fallen across the area. As of early this afternoon, this has prompted an upgrade to Winter Storm Warnings for Suffolk, Norfolk and Dukes Counties in MA. Remaining active winter weather headlines are unchanged. Attached graphics, updated as of 130 PM, include a graphical view of snow reports received as of 1 PM, the expected snow still to come, and the current active headlines in effect to reflect the upgrade as described above. Unless conditions warrant otherwise, this is likely to be the last briefing. Thank You!
