Good afternoon, Below you will find this afternoon's one-page briefing and graphics on winter weather Saturday and strong gusts Saturday night into Sunday morning. *What has changed:* - Winter Storm Warning expanded to all of Berkshire County - Expanded Winter Weather Advisory to Franklin, Hampshire, Hampden, Worcester, and northwest Middlesex County - Wind Advisory for the eastern slopes of the Berkshires; western Franklin, Hampshire, and Hampden County. In addition, northern Worcester County, Cape Cod, Island, and eastern coastal communities of Massachusetts *Key Points:* - Rain changes to snow from northwest to southeast Saturday, starting late in the morning near the Berkshires but not until later in the afternoon in Rhode Island and southeast Massachusetts. - Most of the accumulating snow will occur north and west of Harford to Worcester, especially in the higher elevations. Initially, the snow may be heavy and wet when it changes over but should transition to a lighter and fluffier snow Saturday afternoon. - Strong northwest winds Saturday night into Sunday, especially near the coast and in the higher elevations, which could result in minor wind damage such as some downed branches/tree limbs and wires.
