[01.29.2026 AM] NWS Boston EM Briefing: Dangerous Cold Expected Tonight into Friday Morning
Good Morning, We have issued Cold Weather Advisories for tonight into Friday morning. Cold overnight temperatures and breezy west winds around 15-20mph will combine to bring dangerous wind chills to the region ranging from -20F to -25F. Very cold overnight temperatures are expected once again Friday night into Saturday morning with wind chill values ranging between -5 to -15. We've attached a one-page briefing and supporting graphics to this e-mail briefing to message dangerous cold. These include the Cold Weather Advisory area, as well as forecasts of minimum wind chills tonight/Friday morning & Friday night/Saturday morning. Expect updates to this briefing on dangerous cold, as well as an update on a potential winter storm Sunday, by 3 PM this afternoon.
