[2024.06.19 AM] NWS Boston EM Briefing: Dangerous Heat & Humidity through Friday
Good morning everyone, Please find our latest briefing attached regarding this week's heat and humidity. Since last evening, *all *Excessive Heat Watches have been *converted* to Heat Advisories for Thursday and Friday. Confidence has grown regarding a cold front that will move from northeast to southwest across the region on Friday. Heat will persist into Friday across the CT River Valley. Given the current forecast the following headlines are in place: - A heat advisory for interior southern New England, away from the coast, through 7 PM Thursday - A heat advisory for ONLY the southern Connecticut River Valley until 7 PM Friday We do anticipate showers and scattered Thunderstorms both Thursday and Friday afternoon, which will bring some relief to the oppressive heat.
