NWS Boston: EM Briefing - Heat continues tomorrow. Severe storms possible tomorrow afternoon.
Good afternoon everyone, Attached is the latest one page briefing on the active heat advisory as well as the potential for severe thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon. *Heat:* Heat advisory remains in effect through tomorrow. Expect another afternoon with heat indices ranging from 95-100 degrees. Temperatures will be cooler along the immediate coast. *Severe Thunderstorm Threat:* Since the last briefing The Storm Prediction Center has expanded the slight risk zone further east into the forecast area. Greatest threat for severe thunderstorms will be across western MA and CT. The window for severe storms will be between 2 and 10 pm. Primary hazard will be damaging wind gusts. Small hail will be possible as well. Please see the one page briefing and supporting graphics for additional details.
