[2024.01.17 PM] NWS Boston EM Briefing: Light Snow Friday and Frigid Temperatures this Weekend
Good afternoon, Please find attached a briefing regarding light snow accumulations Friday with frigid temperatures to follow this weekend. In general, 1-2" of snow is expected for much of the region, with higher amounts, of up to 4", across Plymouth and Barnstable counties in Massachusetts during the day and evening hours of Friday. Lesser amounts likely along the MA/NH border. Frigid temperatures will fill in behind the departing low pressure, allowing apparent temperatures to fall to near or below zero across southern New England both Friday and Saturday night. Actual high temperatures on Saturday will range between 15-25F. Overnight low temperatures will drop into the single digits and low 10s.
