[2023.05.16 PM] NWS Boston EM Briefing - Red Flag Warning Wednesday
Good evening, A very dry air mass with gusty north winds up to 30mph tomorrow along with little to no recent precipitation has prompted the re-issuance of a Red Flag Warning for Wednesday May 17th from 8am to 8pm While temperatures on Wednesday will be much cooler than Tuesday, we expect even drier conditions to develop with full sunshine and gusty north winds. For that reason, and in coordination with state forestry officials, the Fire Weather Watch issued yesterday has been upgraded to a Red Flag Warning in effect for all of Southern New England excluding Cape Cod and the Islands. Critical fire conditions are not expected at this time on Thursday as winds are anticipated to be lower compared to Tuesday and Wednesday. However, Min RH will still be around 20% No future updates are planned at this time. Thank You!
