[07.31.2024 PM] NWS Boston Briefing: Dangerous Heat Possible Thu and Fri
Good afternoon, Please find attached an updated one page briefing and supporting graphics regarding expected hot and humid conditions tomorrow and Friday. Key points in this update can be found below. - *We have not issued heat advisories* as we are likely to fall just short of meeting the criteria of two consecutive days of 95+ degree heat indices - Confidence in hot/humid conditions remains high, but heat indices are likely to stay in the low 90s for most locations Thursday afternoon - Peak heat will be Friday afternoon when many locations will experience heat indices in the mid to upper 90s This will be the final briefing unless there are any significant changes to the forecast. Have a great afternoon, Meteorologists Andrew Loconto, Rob Megnia, and Torry Dooley If you have any questions or would like more information, please don't hesitate to contact us.
