NWS Boston Briefing #5: Friday Afternoon Update
Good Afternoon, Attached is the latest briefing on the weekend storm. Changes include: - *Minor adjustments downward to snowfall totals. * - *Minor adjustments in the location of icing. Note that the higher amounts will be localized, and not widespread in the depicted areas. * - *Winter Storm Warning issued for northern MA. * - *Coastal Flood Warning issued for the eastern MA coast from Plymouth County to the NH border. * - *Coastal Flood Advisory issued for Cape Cod, the Islands, and South Coastal MA/RI. * - *Gale Warning issued for MA/RI coastal waters.* Uncertainty remains high in snowfall totals from Hartford to Worcester and Boston since we are not sure how quickly the snow changes to a wintry mix Sunday morning. Plan on future adjustments to the snowfall forecast for these locations.
