Dear Emergency Managers and other Partners,

A large storm system will bring a widespread moderate to potentially heavy
rainfall tonight into Friday night. The rainfall coupled with some snow
melt in the higher terrain may produce some minor river flooding and
urban/poor drainage flooding. A Flood Watch has been issued for all of
eastern New York and western New England. Current forecast rainfall totals
are mainly in the 1 to 3 inch range with locally higher totals over higher
terrain south and east of the Capital District.

In addition, strong east to southeast gusty winds are also possible over
the higher terrain of eastern New York and western New England, especially
above 2000' elevation.
