Dear Emergency Managers and Other Partners,

A storm system will impact the most of eastern NY and western New England
tonight through Friday morning.  Precipitation will begin between 1 am and
3 am across eastern New York and western New England, as a wintry mix of
snow and sleet that will quickly change to freezing rain.  As temperatures
continue to rise above freezing, precipitation will change to plain rain
between 4 am and 10 am Friday.  A light accumulation of snow and ice is
expected and this will lead to slippery travel on untreated surfaces, which
may impact the morning commute in some areas.  Isolated power outages are
possible over portions of the southern Adirondacks, Lake George Saratoga
region, and southern Vermont, where up to 0.2" of ice accretion is possible
along with winds gusting to 35 mph.
