Dear Emergency Managers and other partners,
Strong to damaging winds are expected this evening into Monday evening
across the entire region. A High Wind Warning is in effect for all of
eastern New York & western New England from this evening until 7 PM
Monday. Wind gusts up to 65 mph will result in downed large tree limbs
and trees & scattered to widespread power outages.
Also, lake effect snow and blowing snow will impact the western/southwest
Adirondacks and western Mohawk Valley tonight into Monday. 3 to 8 inches
of new snow is expected for this area and the reduced visibility & snow
covered roadways will make for hazardous travel.
