Dear Emergency Managers and other partners,

An approaching cold front will bring showers and thunderstorms for Thursday
into Thursday night. Some of the thunderstorms could contain damaging wind
gusts, especially across Herkimer and Hamilton Counties in New York. The
Storm Prediction Center has placed much of eastern NY and adjacent western
New England within a Marginal to Slight Risk for severe thunderstorms for
Thursday into Thursday night.

In addition, thunderstorms may produce locally heavy downpours, which could
lead to isolated flash flooding in low lying, urban and poor drainage
areas. The Weather Prediction Center has placed much of eastern New York
and adjacent western New England within a Marginal Risk for flash flooding
for Thursday into Thursday night.
