Dear Emergency Managers and other partners,

A storm system moving across the region will bring a period of steady
precipitation to the region for Thursday into early Friday.  Most areas
outside of the Adirondacks will begin as rain on Thursday, with a
transition to snow occurring Thursday evening into Thursday night.
Precipitation looks to taper off by Friday morning, with colder and breezy
conditions expected for during the day on Friday.

Storm total snow amounts will be an inch or less for areas in the Capital
Region, as well as areas to the south and east.  A few inches are possible
across the Mohawk Valley, Lake George-Saratoga Region & southern Vermont,
with up to 6 inches across the western Adirondacks.  There is still some
uncertainty regarding the exact storm track and how quickly temperatures
cool down, so these forecasted amounts are still subject to change.  See
the attached graphic for our current forecast for snow totals.
