[Weather] Scattered Strong To Severe Thunderstorms Possible Saturday Afternoon And Early Evening

Good afternoon everyone,

We  wanted to send an email on the potential for scattered strong to severe
thunderstorms Saturday afternoon and early evening.  Attached is the latest
outlook from The Storm Prediction Center.  In addition, we have included a
brief outline in this email and also mentioned the risk for a few
additional strong to severe thunderstorms on Sunday.

*WHAT/WHEN:*
- Scattered strong to severe thunderstorms possible Saturday afternoon and
early evening.  Greatest time of concern is between noon and 6 pm.

*WHERE: *
- Highest risk exists near and south of the Massachusetts Turnpike, but
there is some potential across all of southern New England.

*POTENTIAL IMPACTS: *
- Localized damaging wind gusts are the main threat with large hail a
secondary concern.
- Heavy rain may result in localized street flooding.
- Dangerous cloud to ground lightning.

*UNCERTAINTY:*
- A period of clouds along with scattered showers are possible Saturday
morning before the threat of strong to severe thunderstorms during the
afternoon and evening.

   - If the scattered showers and clouds linger longer then expected
   Saturday, scattered thunderstorms would still occur but they would likely
   remain below severe limits.
   - If the clouds breakup earlier then expected, the threat for severe
   thunderstorms with locally damaging wind gusts and large hail would
   increase.

*SUNDAY:*
*- *A few strong to severe thunderstorms are possible from late Sunday
morning into Sunday afternoon.
- The main threat with these storms would be hail with locally strong to
damaging wind gusts a secondary concern.
