Good morning everyone.

This is a correction to include the headline for this e-mail. Sorry for the
inconvenience.

*PREVIOUS TEXT BELOW:*

The potential continues for scattered strong to severe thunderstorms from
midday through early this evening, as well as another threat for strong
thunderstorms on Sunday.

*WHAT HAS CHANGED:*

The outlook from the Storm Prediction Center has expanded the slight risk
for severe storms across most of southern New England, including portions
of the lower Cape, Martha's Vineyard and Block Island.

This is the updated outline on what is expected to occur both today and
Sunday.

*WHAT/WHEN: *
-- Scattered strong to severe thunderstorms expected this afternoon into
early evening.
-- *Time of concern*: From Noontime to 2 PM across northern Massachusetts,
to around 8 PM along the south coast

*WHERE:*
-- Highest risk for impacts across areas near and south of the
Massachusetts Turnpike, but some impact could occur across the entire region

*POTENTIAL IMPACTS:*
*-- Main Threat: Localized damaging wind gusts*
* -- Secondary Threat: Large hail*
-- Heavy rainfall may produce localized street and poor drainage flooding
-- Dangerous cloud to ground lightning

*UNCERTAINTY:*
-- An area of showers will push across the region this morning, before the
threat of strong to severe thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening.

   - If the scattered showers and clouds linger longer then expected today,
scattered thunderstorms would still occur but they would likely remain
   below severe limits.
   - If the clouds breakup faster than expected, the threat for severe
thunderstorms with locally damaging wind gusts and large hail would
   increase.

*SUNDAY:*
-- A few strong to severe thunderstorms remain possible from mid to late
Sunday morning through Sunday afternoon.
-- The primary concern from these storms will be *large hail*, with *locally
strong to damaging wind gusts a secondary concern*
