BOX Operations - NOAA Service Account box.operations at noaa.gov

Good afternoon everyone,

Just a quick heads up that we expanded the High Wind Warnings inland to
include all of RI, eastern MA and parts of the CT River Valley including
Hartford and Springfield.

   - Strongest winds (direction from the south) will occur between 10 pm
and 4 am from west to east
   - Isolated power outages are expected in the warning area but more
extensive wind damage and power outages are possible if temperatures warm
to 70 degs or higher tonight, as this will increase the risk of strong
winds aloft mixing to the surface
   - A line of showers and thunderstorms will move across the region
tonight from west to east. This line will likely increase the threat for
   strong to damaging winds

Another email will be sent by 5 pm with any additional details/updates.
