Good morning.
We are not expecting a widespread wind event, there could be strong east
wind gusts across coastal Cape Ann overnight tonight into Thursday
morning.
Details are below:
*Headlines...**Wind Advisory is in effect* for eastern Essex County from 3
AM until 9 AM Thursday morning.
*What...*East winds from 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.
*Where...*Coastal Essex County/Cape Ann region.
*When...*During the early and mid morning hours on Thursday.
*Impacts...*There will be a period of strong winds and wind gusts early
Thursday morning, upwards to 45 to 50 mph at times across the advisory
area. Unsecured objects such as trash cans may be blown around. Tree limbs
may be blown down that may cause localized damage. A few power outages are
also possible.
*Additional Information*...There may be some higher gusts across portions
of central and western Massachusetts into north central Connecticut during
the overnight and early morning hours on Thursday, as well as along the
remaining coastline. However, these gusts are forecast to be lower than
what is expected across coastal Cape Ann.
Attached please find a map with the wind gusts expected overnight tonight
and Thursday morning.
