[Weather] NWS Boston EM Briefing for Strong Winds Tonight

BOX Operations - NOAA Service Account box.operations at noaa.gov
Sun Nov 15 08:34:26 UTC 2020

Good Morning,

Little has changed since yesterday afternoon's briefing.

We are still expecting strong southerly winds early tonight in Rhode Island
and central/eastern Massachusetts where Wind Advisories remain posted for
wind gusts as high as 50 MPH. There is more uncertainty as to whether or
not these strong wind gusts will occur across northern Connecticut and
western Massachusetts. That scenario would become more likely if a line of
heavy showers or thunderstorms reaches southern New England.

Please see the attached briefing for details.

Thanks,
Joe DelliCarpini and Matthew Belk
