[Weather] [08.03.21 PM] NWS Boston EM Briefing - Heavy Rain and Potential Flooding Wed Night-Thu

BOX Operations - NOAA Service Account box.operations at noaa.gov
Tue Aug 3 19:58:04 UTC 2021

Good afternoon everyone,

We wanted to give you a heads up on a system we're monitoring that will
bring heavy rain and potential flooding issues to part of southern New
England Wednesday night into Thursday morning. At this point confidence in
flooding issues is on the lower side, as guidance has only recently shifted
the axis of heaviest rainfall further west, away from Cape Cod and the
Islands. We will have an update on the forecast and expected impacts by 5
AM tomorrow. If you have any questions, we can be reached earlier via
box.operations at noaa.gov or 508-622-3280.

Thanks!

Bryce Williams and Torry Gaucher
