[Weather] [08.13.2021 AM] NWS Boston EM Briefing for Dangerous Heat Today and Saturday Along With The Thunderstorm Risk

Good morning everyone,

Attached is an updated briefing focusing on the heat and humidity through
Saturday. No real changes in the latest update.

Today...
- Isolated strong to severe storms this afternoon and evening. Risk highest
this afternoon across the I-495 corridor into SE MA. This evening the risk
shifts to western MA/CT.

Saturday...
- Last day of heat and humidity on tap for this stretch.
- As with previous update Heat Advisories may be needed for CT/RI and SE
MA. Heat Indices of 95-100+ are possible.
- Few strong to severe storms are not out of the question during the
afternoon into the evening with the risk highest toward the I-95 corridor
and south of the MA Turnpike.
