Good afternoon everyone,
We have issued our first briefing package on the potential for a
significant winter storm later Monday into Tuesday. The biggest concern is
for the potential of significant snow accumulations, but there also is the
risk for strong winds along with coastal flooding & beach erosion along the
eastern MA coastline.
As for tonight, Winter Weather Advisories remain posted for Cape Cod and
Nantucket through 8 pm this evening for 1 to 3 inches of snow. There are
also Wind Chill Advisories in effect tonight for parts of western and north
central Massachusetts; mainly for the higher terrain where wind chills are
expected to drop to 15 below zero.
The briefing packing for the potential significant winter storm will be
updated by 6 am Saturday morning.
Thank You!
Meteorologists: Hayden Frank, Andy Nash and Torry Gaucher
