Good afternoon everyone,
The back edge of the rain is moving east through western MA and CT at this
time. The heavy rain will come to an end in the next 4 hours, exiting the
east coast of MA by 5 PM. Winds will be peaking on Cape Cod and the island
through 3 PM and decreasing into the late afternoon. There remains a chance
for some scattered thunderstorms this evening, a few of which could be
strong, mainly in Connecticut. For any clean up efforts on Saturday, the
weather will be fairly quiet, but with some scattered showers and pop up
thunderstorms. We do not expect anything severe.
This will be the final email on Tropical Storm Elsa. If you have any
further questions, we can be reached via box.operations at noaa.gov or
508-622-3280.
Thank you,
Bryce Williams
