Good afternoon everyone,
Given that it is the Memorial Day holiday weekend, we wanted to share our
latest expectations on storminess expected later this afternoon.
No significant changes to the briefing sent this morning are envisioned
with this afternoon's forecast. Wind-driven and locally heavy rains are
expected tonight into Saturday morning, gusty northeast winds for the
Islands overnight into Saturday, and the potential for splashover or minor
coastal flooding in the typically vulnerable areas in eastern Massachusetts
around the early-Saturday morning high tide.
We are still in the process of finalizing the forecast and graphics. Expect
an updated one-page briefing with the latest information and graphics no
later than 5 PM this afternoon.
Thank You!
Meteorologists: Andrew Loconto and Bill Babcock
