[Weather] NWS Boston EM Briefing Update on Heavy Rain/Flooding

BOX Operations - NOAA Service Account box.operations at noaa.gov
Mon Oct 4 12:05:10 UTC 2021

Good morning everyone,

The back edge of the steadier and heavier rain was moving through central
Massachusetts and eastern Connecticut as of 8 AM and will move offshore by
late morning (see the attached radar image). We only expect periods of
lighter rain for the rest of the day, before another round of steadier
rainfall tonight.

At this time, there is no longer the threat of flooding, aside from the
usual minor flooding of poor drainage areas or roadways.

This will be the last briefing on this event unless conditions change.

Thanks,
Joe DelliCarpini
