[Weather] [2021.09.15 AM] NWS Boston EM Briefing - Severe Weather Possible Late Today into Tonight

Good morning,

Attached is an updated one-page briefing on the potential for severe
thunderstorms anticipated to develop later today into tonight. We've also
attached the updated severe weather outlook from the Storm Prediction
Center and the excessive rainfall outlook from the Weather Prediction
Center.

Other than a small adjustment to the timing, there were no other
significant changes to the information contained in the previous briefing
sent yesterday afternoon.

Northern and western Massachusetts as well as northwestern Connecticut *have
the greatest risk for severe weather* including damaging winds, hail and a
low probability of tornadoes. This encompasses the area shaded in yellow on
the Severe Weather Outlook. Weakening trends are expected as storms move
east later tonight into remaining portions of Connecticut, Rhode Island and
Massachusetts, but may still be capable of sporadic instances of wind
damage.

This is the final briefing on the severe weather potential, unless there
are significant changes and/or if watches become necessary.
