BOX Operations - NOAA Service Account box.operations at noaa.gov
Thu Aug 24 19:47:08 UTC 2023

Good afternoon,

We've attached a graphic of the total rainfall expected across southern New
England tonight through Friday night. We will have widespread 1-3" of
rainfall with heavy downpours at times. Localized totals of greater than 3"
are possible in any areas where thunderstorms develop. The greatest risk
for flooding is across eastern Connecticut, Rhode Island, central and
eastern Massachusetts. We also cannot rule out an isolated strong to severe
thunderstorm across the region.

Thanks,
Bill Leatham and Kyle Pederson
