[Weather] [01.12.2023 AM] NWS Boston EM Briefing: Light Icing Late Tonight & Early Thursday

BOX Operations - NOAA Service Account box.operations at noaa.gov
Thu Jan 12 09:22:37 UTC 2023

Good Morning,

We wanted to provide an update on the potential for freezing drizzle this
morning. At this time, it appears unlikely that freezing drizzle will
develop.

Given parts of eastern Massachusetts received a coating of snow overnight,
slick spots may still be present on untreated surfaces during the morning
commute. Additionally, snow showers will again overspread our region, from
west to east, after 7 am, which may result in less than 1" of snow across
Connecticut and western and central Massachusetts.

Any snow this morning is expected to transition to rain by early afternoon,
so the threat for any slick surfaces will be short fused!

Thank you,

Kristie Smith and Matthew Belk
