Good Afternoon Everyone,

Attached is the latest briefing for the storm which is now getting underway.

Overall, everything remains on track but we are making the following
adjustments:
- Snowfall totals have been lowered slightly, especially near the coast.
- Wind Advisory will be expanded into more of Rhode Island and southeast
Massachusetts (statement will be issued within the hour).

Here are some key points:
- Periods of light snow or flurries will come to an end by 3 PM.
- The next round of snow arrives between roughly 4 pm to 7 pm which will
bring most of the accumulation from this storm.
- A change to rain should occur between 5 pm and 10 pm from south to north.
This means the snow should only last a couple of hours for locations south
of the Mass Pike, especially for those closer to the South Coast.
- Temperatures will slowly rise overnight, reaching the upper 30s to mid
40s across the interior and into the lower 50s in Rhode Island and
southeast Massachusetts. Therefore, we are not concerned with any icing
tomorrow morning.

This will be the last full briefing for this storm. We may send brief
emails tonight or Thursday as needed with updated information.

Feel free to reach out to us if you need more information.

Thanks,
Joe Dellicarpini
NWS Boston/Norton
