[Weather] [2024.12.09 PM] NWS Boston Briefing - Heavy Rain and Strong Winds Wed-Wed night

Good afternoon everyone,

There are no changes to the forecast regarding the potential for light
icing across the higher elevations of the northern Berkshires and Worcester
Hills. There may be pockets of light freezing rain and/or freezing drizzle
this evening through Tuesday morning. A Winter Weather Advisory continues
into Tuesday morning.

In addition, an impactful storm will bring heavy rain and strong coastal
winds to southern New England Wednesday into Wednesday night. The heavy
rain may result in localized urban and poor drainage street flooding and
strong winds may cause some power outages near the coast. A High Wind Watch
is in effect for much of coastal southern New England.
