Good morning,
Attached is our latest weather briefing.
*Headlines:*
- High Wind Warning remains in effect for Cape Cod and the Islands
- Wind Advisory remains in effect for the rest of MA, RI, and CT. This
includes central and western MA, which was previously under a High Wind
Watch.
Two surges of very strong to damaging winds remain in the forecast. The
first surge will be today lasting into early this evening, with strong to
damaging south winds. The second surge of wind will occur this evening
into tomorrow morning, with strong to damaging west to northwest winds.
Winds remain gusty at 30-45 mph through tomorrow evening.
Heavy windswept rain will likely cause hazardous travel tonight. Rain
briefly turns to snow, as temperatures crash into the 30s and 20s behind
the cold front tonight. Any snow accumulations will be light, generally
less than an inch. Subfreezing temperatures combined with any
residual/leftover road moisture, may yield slippery travel tonight into
tomorrow morning on untreated surfaces.
