[Weather] NWS Boston EM Briefing: Gusty Winds and Potential Snow Squalls on Sunday

BOX Operations - NOAA Service Account box.operations at noaa.gov

Good afternoon everyone,

We wanted to give a quick update on Sunday. We expect a breezy day with the
strongest gusts (40-50 mph) for the islands where a Wind Advisory is in
effect. A bigger potential impact is from scattered snow showers and even a
few stronger snow squalls that will bring the potential for brief/rapid
onset gusty winds/snow/low visibility. These would only be of concern for
highways where rapid drop in visibility and a quick inch of snow could be
hazardous to drivers. Timing of the snow will be 1 to 5 pm for western
MA/CT and 3 to 8 pm for eastern MA. Please let us know if you have any
questions.

Thank you,

Bryce Williams and Kevin Cadima
