[Weather] [2024.07.10 AM] NWS Boston EM Briefing Dangerous Heat Today & Severe Weather Threat in Northwest MA

Good morning everyone!

No changes have been made to the Heat Advisory this morning...which remains
in effect through 8 PM this evening. However...some of the Heat Advisories
may eventually need to be extended into Thursday. Additional Heat Headlines
may also be needed at times into early next week. Currently...we are
looking at Sunday and Monday with the greatest potential.

Lastly...there is the risk of severe weather this afternoon and early
evening, but that threat is mainly confined to northwest MA. The main
severe weather risk will be localized damaging wind gusts with the low risk
of a tornado in northwest MA. Torrential rainfall may also result in a very
localized flood threat.
