Good morning everyone...

A Flood Watch has been issued for much of southern New England overnight
into Saturday...except for Cape Cod and the Islands. Showers and embedded
thunderstorms with pockets of torrential rainfall are expected to
develop overnight into Saturday. While rain amounts may vary considerably
over short distances...there is the potential for very localized 2"
rainfall amounts in just 1 hour and 3-4" within 3 hours. This will result
in the potential for localized flash flooding...particularly if this were
to fall over vulnerable urban centers.

In addition...another extended period of Dangerous Heat and Humidity is
expected in the Sunday through Wednesday time frame. Afternoon Heat Indices
of 95-100+ degrees are likely much of the time and Heat Headlines will once
again be needed.

We have attached a brief one pager highlighting the potential concerns and
a separate image of the Flood Watch. We also included the expected
afternoon Heat Indices in the Sunday through Wednesday time frame.

Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns!

Thank You!

Meteorologists: Hayden Frank and Robert Megnia
