[Weather] [2024.06.19 PM] NWS Boston EM Briefing: Dangerous Heat & Humidity through Friday

Good afternoon,

Attached is our latest briefing regarding the continued early-summer heat
and humidity.

Key Points:

   - *Heat Advisories:*
      - Interior southern New England (away from the coast): Effective
      through 7 PM Thursday.
      - Southern Connecticut River Valley: Effective until 7 PM Friday.

Confidence has grown regarding a cold front that will move from northeast
to southwest across the region on Friday. Heat will persist into Friday
across the CT River Valley.

We anticipate showers and scattered thunderstorms both Thursday and Friday
afternoons, which will bring some relief to the oppressive heat.
