Good afternoon,
Not a lot has changed from the previous briefing. Two rounds of storms
remain possible Sunday.
Showers and thunderstorms are possible late tonight into Sunday morning,
primarily across RI, CT and southeast MA with the chance for heavy rainfall
along the south coast. However, latest guidance has been trending this risk
further south and offshore, so confidence is low for heavy rainfall and
localized street flooding.
Another round of scattered severe storms is possible Sunday between 2 PM
and 10 PM. The primary threat associated with these storms is damaging wind
gusts, but the possibility for small hail cannot be ruled out. There is
still a Slight (Level 2) risk for severe weather across southern New
England.
Thank you,
Meteorologists Candice Hrencecin, Kyle Pederson and Hayden Frank
