[Weather] [06.17.2025] NWS Boston Severe Weather Potential Thursday

Good afternoon everyone...

We wanted to let you know about the potential for scattered severe
thunderstorms late Thursday into Thursday evening. The primary time of
concern is between 2 and 10 pm with the greatest risk for severe weather
across interior Massachusetts and Connecticut. There is uncertainty on just
how far east this threat will extend.

The main concern will be for strong damaging straight line wind gusts with
secondary concerns being large hail and even a brief tornado. Pockets of
torrential rainfall may also result in some street flooding too. An update
to this potential will be issued by 10 am Wednesday morning.
