[Weather] [2025.05.09 AM] NWS Boston EM Briefing: Heavy Rainfall Friday into Saturday

Good morning.

The Flood Watch remains in effect from 5am Today through 8am Saturday and
was expanded east into Worcester and Windham Counties.

No major changes to the forecast since last night with 1.5 to 3.0 inches of
rain expected today. Rain is expected to bring a renewed threat for river
flooding along much of the CT river, with several points expected to reach
minor flood, with moderate flood levels possible.  Moderate to heavy rain
will likely align with the evening commute and may cause travel issues with
minor street flooding possible.
