[Weather] [2025.11.28 PM] NWS Boston EM Briefing: Accumulating Snow Possible Tuesday

Good afternoon,

Ahead of the post-Thanksgiving holiday weekend, we wanted to provide a
heads-up that we are monitoring a storm system that may affect Southern New
England on Tuesday into Tuesday evening. This system has the potential to
bring accumulating snow and some impact to the interior and higher
elevations of Southern New England, with a plain rain or wet snow-to-rain
with lesser impact for the lower elevations and eastern/southern coasts.

There are still too many unresolved details regarding the system's exact
track and strength to provide specific snow accumulation forecasts at this
time. In lieu of that, we have attached several exceedance probability
graphics as a guide, which show the chances of exceeding 2-, 4-, and
6-or-more inches of snow between 7 am Tuesday to 7 am Wednesday. These
probabilities are highest in interior portions of Southern New England, and
lower along the eastern MA and RI coastal plain.

Expect another update to this e-mail by *Saturday afternoon*, or sooner if
conditions warrant otherwise.
