Rivers most at risk for flooding include the Mohawk, those located across the southern Adirondacks, the upper Hudson and Hoosic basins, and rivers across southern Vermont. Based on current timing, it appears that river crests would be most likely to occur Monday into Tuesday. We will continue to monitor trends until rainfall and snowmelt forecast amounts become more clear. In addition, locally heavy rainfall with possible embedded thunderstorms could lead to flooding of poor drainage and urban areas Sunday night into Monday. A Winter Weather Advisory as been issued for 6 pm Friday until 6 am Saturday for Berkshire County. In addition, a mix of rain and snow will lead to minor accumulations of snow across higher elevations above 1000 feet in the southern Adirondacks, eastern Catskills, Litchfield Hills, and in southern Vermont this afternoon and evening.
