**** The information in this email pertains to the following areas only:**** *- In Massachusetts: Berkshire County* *- In Connecticut: Litchfield County* *- In Vermont: Bennington & Windham Counties* *- In New York: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Hamilton, Herkimer, Montgomery, Greene, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Ulster, Warren and Washington Counties* Dear Emergency Managers and other partners, The Wind Advisory has been expanded into the Mid-Hudson Valley, southern Taconics, and Litchfield County. It is now in effect for all of eastern New York and western New England from 2 PM to 10 PM today. West winds of 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph are expected. Winds may be strong enough to blow down large tree limbs, some trees and power lines. Isolated power outages are possible. Travel could be difficult for high profile vehicles. West winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph are expected. Winds may be strong enough to blow down large tree limbs, some trees and power lines. Isolated power outages are possible. Wind gusts of 35 to 45 mph are likely. However, there is the potential for even stronger wind gusts to reach or possibly exceed 50 mph. If the potential for stronger wind gusts increases, then a Wind Advisory or High Wind Warning will be issued. At this time, it appears that this strong wind potential looks greatest for the Mohawk Valley, Capital Region, and Berkshires north into the southern Adirondacks and across southern Vermont.
