A storm system will bring a widespread rainfall and strong winds to eastern New York and western New England through Friday. A Flood Watch will be in effect from 5 PM today through 1 PM Friday. A Wind Advisory will be in effect from 5 PM today through 8 PM Friday. There is also a Marginal to Slight Risk for severe thunderstorms this evening into the overnight period with damaging winds being the primary threat.
