Heavy rainfall combined with some snowmelt and runoff due to frozen ground could result in urban/poor drainage flooding, minor river flooding, and isolated flash flooding. *Winter Weather Advisories* *remain* in effect through this evening for most of eastern NY and western New England excluding the mid Hudson Valley and Litchfield County primarily for light freezing rain. Freezing rain is possible even with air temperatures above freezing due to cold surfaces and the dense snow pack. The freezing rain will transition to plain rain from south to north this evening into tonight. Please see attached briefing for further details.
