Low lying, urban and poor drainage areas may experience flooding due to downpours within thunderstorms. There is a low chance for an isolated flash flood as well. There is also a chance for thunderstorms across the Capital Region, Catskills, and Mid-Hudson Valley into western MA and NW CT. A few of the storms may become severe with strong to damaging winds being the primary threat. See attached graphics for outlook areas of excessive rainfall and severe thunderstorms.
