NWS Albany - Severe Weather Potential Today - issued Saturday June 29, 2019 at 500 AM
Dear Emergency Managers and other partners, The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center continues to outline 'Slight Risk' and 'Marginal' outlook areas for severe thunderstorms today. The area of greatest threat will generally be for areas south and east of Albany in eastern New York, and the Berkshires and Litchfield Hills of western New England. Timing of the thunderstorms will be from this afternoon through the early evening. The primary threats will be damaging wind gusts, large hail and dangerous cloud to ground lightning strikes.
