NWS Albany - Severe Weather Potential for Saturday - issued Friday June 28, 2019 at 410 PM
**** The information in this email pertains to the following areas only:**** *- In Connecticut: Litchfield County* *- In Massachusetts: Berkshire County* *- In Vermont: Bennington & Windham Counties* *- In New York: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Hamilton, Herkimer, Montgomery, Greene, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Ulster, Warren and Washington Counties* Dear Emergency Managers and other partners, The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center has outlined a 'Slight Risk' for severe thunderstorms over a portion of the region for Saturday (see attached graphic). The region of greatest threat will generally be south of I-90 in eastern NY, Berkshire county in MA, and Litchfield county in CT. Timing of the thunderstorms will be from around noon through the late afternoon. The primary threats will be damaging wind gusts and dangerous cloud to ground lightning strikes.
