NWS Albany - Winter Weather Advisories, Snow Squalls and Frigid Temperatures This Week - Issued 515 AM Monday, December 16th, 2019
**** The information in this email pertains to the following areas only:**** *- In Connecticut: Litchfield County* *- In Massachusetts: Berkshire County* *- In Vermont: Bennington & Windham Counties* *- In New York: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Hamilton, Herkimer, Montgomery, Greene, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Ulster, Warren and Washington Counties* Dear Emergency Managers and other partners, Several weather hazards are possible through the week. - Winter Weather Advisories have been issued for the entire forecast area except the southern Adirondacks and northern Washington/Warren counties for tonight through Tuesday. A wintry mix is expected across the eastern Catskills, mid-Hudson Valley, southern Taconics, southern Berkshires and Litchfield, CT. Snow is expected elsewhere. Hazardous travel is anticipated for both the morning and evening commutes on Tuesday. Please see attached briefing for more details regarding this event. - Snow squalls are possible on Wednesday, which could result in rapid changes in visibility and difficult travel conditions. - Frigid temperatures are possible Wednesday night through Thursday night.
