The main threat with any storms will be damaging wind gusts. A marginal risk is also in place further north across parts of eastern New York (mainly parts of Ulster, Dutchess and Columbia Counties), western Massachusetts and southern Vermont. Thunderstorms will also be capable of producing very heavy rainfall, which may lead to flooding of urban, low lying and poor drainage areas. An isolated flash flood cannot be ruled out.
