All, We are closely monitoring the forecasts of Hurricane Lee, just as you are. As a reminder, the official NWS forecasts for Lee are available at: https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/#Lee The forecasters at the National Hurricane Center update the forecasts every 6 hours -- 5am, 11am, 5pm and 11pm. At this time, it is far too soon to accurately predict what kind of impacts that could occur in our area. We strongly encourage you to follow the forecasts, and keep up with the "Key Messages" that are updated with each new forecast and available via the NHC link above. I have attached the current Key Messages to this email. The one more certain aspect of the forecast is that large ocean swells will begin reaching our coastline early next week. That will result in heavy/rough surf, rip currents and perhaps spots of coastal erosion. We will start up email briefings twice daily if our area starts to fall under the "cone of forecast uncertainty", which could be early next week. This email is just to help raise awareness as we go into the weekend. Have a good weekend! Andy Nash If you have any questions or would like more information, please don't hesitate to contact us.
