Good morning everyone An Excessive Heat Watch has been issued for the lower elevations of western MA and northern CT, as well as interior northeast MA from Tuesday through Friday. This is for the potential of Afternoon Heat Indices reaching or exceeding 105 degrees. This Watch may need to be expanded in later forecasts, but regardless, dangerous heat and humidity is expected in the Tuesday through Friday time frame away from the Cape and Islands. There will not be much relief at night either with overnight heat indices only dropping into the 70s. We have attached our latest one-pager briefing along with a graphic of the Excessive Heat Watch. Also, we have included the Max Afternoon Heat Indices forecast in the Tuesday through Friday time frame. An updated email will be sent by 6 pm this evening. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. Thank You!
